DOT video shows West Allis crash that killed 4-year-old boy

Charges have been filed in a reckless driving crash that killed a 4-year-old boy in West Allis.Wisconsin Department of Transportation video shows a car making a U-turn on the 100 Freeway and National Avenue on Wednesday night last. Another vehicle passed through the intersection and crashed into the rear of the car. The boy in the back of that car is dead. Prosecutors have charged Thomas McIntyre, 27, of Greenfield, with first-degree reckless homicide. According to the complaint, investigators say McIntyre was going about 80 mph in the 40 mph zone. The complaint says McIntyre admitted to drinking about eight to nine shots and said the accident happened because he wanted to kill himself. He is in jail on $150,000 cash bond.

Video from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation shows a car making a U-turn on the 100 Freeway and National Avenue last Wednesday night.

Another vehicle drove through the intersection and struck the rear of the car.

The boy in the back of that car is dead.

Prosecutors have charged Thomas McIntyre, 27, of Greenfield, with first-degree reckless homicide.
